The 18 year old is the premier expression of Macallan's Triple Cask range. With maturation taking place in a combination of European and American sherry oak casks and American Bourbon casks it has exotic aromas of coconut and vanilla orange citrus followed by soft and velvety flavours of orange citrus, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. The long, lingering finish has a hint of wood spice among the rich chocolate orange notes. Quite an epic and classic release of a particularly special Scotch.
