Distilled at Macallan in Speyside, this is the third and final release in the series which has been inspired by the world of design, particularly the work of graphic designer David Carson . Matured for an undisclosed length of time in first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks, European oak casks and refill & virgin oak casks before being bottled at a strength of 40.8% abv.
Collaborating whisky with art has become a common feature with Macallan. Latest expression in the Macallan Concept series has done just that with an American Graphic Designer and Art Director David Carson.
Carefully crafted to deliver complexity from first fill sherry seasoned American oak to give sweetness and spice further enhanced by European oak casks to add depth and richness. You really have to explore what lies beneath by getting your hands on one.
